Jill M. Prafke, MD

Dr. Jill Prafke is certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, practicing at The Women’s Group in Pensacola, Florida.

Dr. Prafke was born in Chicago, Illinois. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1983 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in German in 1986 from the University of Illinois, Urbana. In 1990, she received her medical degree from the Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Prafke completed her residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1994. She practiced for six years in Riverside, Illinois before relocating to Pensacola and joining The Women's Group in September 2000.

She is the OB Gyn Clerkship Director for the Florida State University College of Medicine Regional Campus - Pensacola. She has been a clinical instructor for the FSU medical school, third year rotation in OB/Gyn since the inaugural class in 2003. Her ongoing interest in patient safety lead her to the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy Online Masters Program for Health Care Professionals at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and she completed a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law in 2011. Dr. Prafke is a member of the Florida Medical Association and the Escambia County Medical Society.

She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and participating in outdoor activities. She enjoys kayaking, biking and running. Most recently she is enjoying concentrating on sprint triathlon training and racing and working on the international distance. Look for her at local running races, 5k through half marathon and sprint triathlon. Dr. Prafke is still grateful to walk and run on the white sands of Pensacola Beach and swim in the emerald water of the Gulf instead of shoveling Chicagoland snow in the winter. I enjoy providing care to women for general gynecologic health maintenance and family planning, as well as treating a variety of problems including abnormal bleeding or abnormal pap smears, urinary incontinence and basic infertility evaluation and treatment.
